A lot has changed at Disneyland Resort since it reopened a little over 6 months ago!
We’ve seen fireworks return to Disneyland Park, popular attractions debut new updates, and Disney even introduced a brand new holiday after-hours event. But, that’s not all! Just last month, we shared a BIG update on Disneyland’s ticketing options (including a pricier tier) and now we’ve got another update to the new passholder program — Magic Key.
If you’re not familiar, Disneyland debuted a brand new passholder program earlier this year called Magic Key. This completely replaced the former annual passholder program (including Legacy Passholders) and provides guests with four different tiered options that come with varying benefits, blockout dates, and more. And, the new program has proven to be pretty popular!
Just last month, the top-tiered pass — the Dream Key Pass — completely sold out, leaving guests with only three levels to choose from. But, now that is even more limited as the second-highest tier — the Believe Key Pass — has sold out as well.
Currently, only two ticketing options remain for those hoping to become Magic Key holders. This includes the Enchant Key, which costs $649 and provides guests with the ability to hold four theme park reservations at a time and 10% off merchandise and select food and beverage. And, the other option is the Imagine Key, which costs $399 annually and is only available to Southern California residents. Just keep in mind that this is the lowest tier option, so it provides the least amount of benefits for guests.
Disney has previously shared that the sale of annual passes would be limited in an effort to manage capacity in the parks and we are already beginning to see a similar approach implemented in Disney World as well.
Of course, we’ll continue to keep an eye out for more Disneyland ticketing updates, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB for the latest!
