Disneyland and Disney California Adventure reopened to guests on April 30, 2021! The Disneyland Resort Theme Park Reservation System is an online tool that allows guests to make reservations to visit the two Disneyland Resort theme parks: Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure.
Introduced as part of new safety measures to limit guest capacity in order to promote physical distancing upon reopening, the Disneyland Theme Park Reservation System enables guests with valid theme park admission to make the required reservations to enter a theme park.
Guests ages 3 and up need both a park reservation and valid admission for the same park on the same date to enter the park.
Park Reservation Eligibility
The Theme Park Reservation System is open to guests with valid theme park admission. Note that during the initial reopening phase, only California residents may visit the parks until further notice. Ticket sales resumed on April 15th, so eligible guests may currently purchase tickets AND make Park Pass reservations upon having valid tickets!
Additionally, guests with valid theme park admission who are staying at the reopened Disneyland Resort hotels also need to book theme park reservations in advance.
Disney Park Pass System Step-By-Step
Disney has provided the following steps-at-a-glance for this new system, and you can begin by following this link to join the virtual queue. You’ll have to log in to your Disney account, where your tickets should be linked, if you’ve already purchased them.
And we’ve been through the process ourselves, to provide you a complete How-To!
For guests who HAVE ALREADY PURCHASED A VALID TICKET:
If you have already purchased a ticket, but haven’t made reservations yet, you can also head to the Disneyland Park Reservation website and hit “Make Park Reservation” after logging in to your account. You’ll then create a reservation using the steps below, as Disney has laid out instructions for how to use this perk online.
For guests who NEED TO PURCHASE A TICKET:
Remember, dates and theme parks will be limited and subject to availability.
Checking Park Availability
Here is a handy additional feature: guests are able to view park availability before making their reservation… and even prior to purchasing tickets!
Guests may filter the availability view by ticket booking eligibility (1 Park Per Day tickets or Park Hopper Tickets), noting the key to see if One or Both Parks are available or if no parks are available.
