We’ve seen a lot of changes in the Disney World restaurants since the parks and resorts first reopened in the summer of 2020.

Cape May Cafe

Restaurants have slowly reopened, character meals have come back in a modified way, and in the past few months, we’ve seen buffets return to Disney World. Today, buffet dining came back to another restaurant!

It was announced a few weeks ago that the buffet would soon return to Cape May Cafe, and today we’re here at Disney’s Beach Club Resort to check it out. Buffet service is available for both breakfast and dinner now, and we’re here for the breakfast buffet — what a great way to start out our day! LET’S EAT.

Atmosphere

When we arrived at the restaurant, we first checked in using Mobile Check-In! It’s pretty simple, your My Disney Experience app will notify you when it’s time to check in, or you can also find your reservation on the app and then check-in.

Once it was our turn, we were directed to our table in the dining room.

We’re ready to eat!

Note that Cape May breakfast has been open since May of 2021, the buffet just hasn’t been available until now!

Now it’s time to check out the buffet! Let’s see what we’ve got to eat.

First, before you even go up to the buffet, a server will bring you a drink menu…

…as well as some Salted Caramel “Beach Buns” with vanilla cream to start your meal! You guys, look at how yummy this bread is. We’re VERY happy this morning!

Remember, you have to wear a face mask everywhere indoors in Disney World, so that includes while you’re up at the buffet grabbing food.

And, you can get some ham at the carving station (don’t worry — they brought out more!).

You can get these beautiful poached eggs and potato hash with hollandaise sauce as well.

There is also an omelet station where you can customize your eggs!
