In between all the new (and delicious) snacks we’ve been trying for the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival so far, we thought we’d play a little game; want to join? A few years ago, Disney got the brilliant idea to introduce seasonal scavenger hunts to the parks (and resorts!), and it’s safe to say that they’ve been a hit.
This year, Spike the Bee’s Pollen-Nation Exploration is BACK in EPCOT (with a price increase). Come with us and let’s check it out!
You can buy this year’s scavenger hunt for $9.99 at select EPCOT merchandise locations, then come back to redeem your completed hunt for a special prize! Last year, this scavenger hunt was $7.99, but we’ve been noticing several price increases at this year’s festival.
There are twelve places throughout the World Showcase where you can search for Spike the Bee. (Side note: Do you think he always goes by spike THE bee? Does anyone just call him Spike? We must know.)
It’s pretty simple, just look out for signs with the names of the plants on your scavenger hunt card — Spike the Bee should be nearby.
Bees love flowers, so we suggest checking around planters and gardens. This is the Flower & Garden Festival, so there should be plenty of foliage for you to check out!
Here’s another example! We found Spike the Bee over by the camellia flowers.
Sometimes, he might blend in, so make sure to look carefully! Don’t forget to match a sticker to the plant and location where you found him on your card.
During our visit to EPCOT, Cast Members informed us that the official scavenger hunt prize was coming soon. For now, guests can pick a holiday plate from a previous EPCOT festival as their prize. If you were hoping to pick up a Flower and Garden-themed prize, you might want to wait a little while until the new prizes arrive.
This activity is great for little ones, adults, and anyone in between! We’ll be sure to let you know when the new prizes make their way to Disney World, so stay tuned!
