We’ve got BIG news, people!
There are some MAJOR changes coming to Disney’s BoardWalk Inn at Walt Disney World! It was just announced that a new restaurant and bakery is coming to the iconic BoardWalk, and the BoardWalk Bakery will be turning into a sandwich shop! BUT, that’s not all — there are also changes being made INSIDE the hotel — Let’s get into it!
It sounds like Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is getting a makeover!
Disney just announced that the lobby, lounge, and guest rooms will be “reinvigorated” by “light and airy touches” that will “carry the seaside breeze right inside.”
Disney also mentioned “newly refreshed” seating spaces inside and outdoors.

The lobby at the Boardwalk is already delightful, some of the rooms could do with a spiff or two though!!

I would love to see a bigger table in the one bedroom DVC rooms. That small table and 2 chairs doesn’t cut it for the number of people in a 2 bedroom. I table with a bench like GF would be great!

We stayed Inn side in January and the room was really dark and not terribly welcoming. Definitely a step down from the DVC side.

I actually love the grandmillenial decor of boardwalk inn. The rooms may be considered “outdated” but the striped wallpaper and toile curtains are beautiful in my opinion. Hope they don’t stray too far in their decor design!
