BIG changes are coming to Disney’s BoardWalk!
You might want to hang out on the BoardWalk instead!
If you take a stroll down Disney’s BoardWalk you’ll find a number of restaurants, shops, entertainment, and more in the 9,000 square foot district — but new things are coming and a few things are changing, so here’s what you need to know, especially if you’re a fan of the BoardWalk Bakery.
The BoardWalk Bakery is currently a spot to grab breakfast items, baked goods, and sandwiches. In essence, they serve a smorgasbord of tasty baked items!

BUT. Instead of serving a variety of baked goods, Disney just announced that BoardWalk Bakery will be transitioned into a NEW sandwich shop! According to Disney’s announcement, “the BoardWalk Bakery will become a new sandwich shop for guests to enjoy a bite along the water’s edge.”

Disney also announced that a new sweets shop called The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers will be opening on the BoardWalk in 2023, as well as a new coffee shop that will be located inside Disney’s BoardWalk Inn’s lobby. Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is also getting a makeover, so there are lots of changes in store for the near future.

Did they announce when Boardwalk Bakery will close for this change? Will they put something in place during changeover for Grab and Go Breakfast/Lunch and refillable mugs?

Doodle muffins are one of my absolute favorite things at Disney. I am so upset they are changing the bakery. I really hope there will still be somewhere to get Doodle muffins. If anyone can help me find them, please let me know!
