It has been a BIG YEAR for Star Wars fans.
Earlier this year, the opening of Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser brought fans a whole new way to enjoy the Star Wars universe (but it didn’t come without a HEFTY price tag). And now, the most star-studded Star Wars event in the galaxy has announced even more celebrity guests slated to attend the upcoming celebration!
Star Wars Celebration 2022 is set to be held at the Anaheim Convention Center from May 26th to May 29th. The event boasts guests including stars and creators behind the scenes of the beloved franchise, and you can purchase tickets here. And definitely get excited, because the list of celebrity guests planning to attend just keeps growing!
The newest addition to the lineup of guests coming to Star Wars Celebration is Ewan McGregor, who played the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars Episodes I through III! Star Wars Celebration just announced that McGregor will be signing autographs and taking photos with fans.
StarWars Celebration just announced on Twitter two more celebrity guests! The first is Billie Lourd, who played Lieutenant Connix (who appeared in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi.) Lourd is also the daughter of Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia.
Also coming to Anaheim is Kelly Marie Tran! Kelly Marie Tran played Rose Tico in Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
StarWars.com previously announced THREE additional celebrity guests who will be attending: Sam Witwer (voice of Maul in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels), Matt Lanter (voice of Anakin Skywalker in The Clone Wars), and Katy O’Brian (one of Moff Gideon’s officers in The Mandalorian) will all join the celebration in Anaheim!
The previous group of celebrity guests revealed on StarWars.com included some additional The Mandalorian talent, including Katee Sackhoff (Bo-Katan Kryze in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and The Mandalorian), Carl Weathers (Greef Karga in The Mandalorian), and Emily Swallow (the Armorer in The Book of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian).
Also in attendance will be Dee Bradley Baker (the voice actor behind Star Wars: The Bad Batch’s Clone Force 99, Captain Rex on Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and more), Michelle Ang (Omega in Star Wars: The Bad Batch), Dickey Beer (the stunt coordinator behind Boba Fett in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi), and Amy Allen (Aayla Secura in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith).
In an earlier announcement, StarWars.com noted that several other actors from The Mandalorian will be attending, including Giancarlo Esposito, who played baddie Moff Gideon, and Omid Abtahi, who played cowardly Doctor Pershing. Joonas Suotamo (Chewbacca in the sequel trilogy and Solo: A Star Wars Story), Carey Jones (Krrsantan in The Book of Boba Fett), and Daniel Logan (Boba Fett in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: The Clone Wars) will be in attendance as well.
Additional performers at the celebration will include Margo Apostolos (Ewok Tokkat, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi), Jett Lucas (Zett Jukassa, Star Wars: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith), Orli Shoshan (Shaak Ti, Star Wars prequels), Kevin Thomspon (Ewok Chubbray, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi), and Tim Rose (Admiral Ackbar puppeteer).
Also, the team of writers behind Star Wars: The High Republic will be there too, so fans can look forward to seeing Claudia Gray, Justina Ireland, Daniel José Older, Cavan Scott, and Charles Soule as well.
Back in March, the first set of celebrity guests — including Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Ian McDiarmid (Emperor Palpatine), and Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka Tano, The Clone Wars) — was announced and since then, additional guests have continued to join the star-studded group. According to StarWars.com, there are still more to come! We will also be reporting live from the event, so stay tuned for more details and information!
