Here at DFB, we’re constantly looking out for new snacks in Disney World…as well as the return of old favorites!
Sometimes, when a beloved Disney treat is removed from the menu, it’s not a permanent change! This has been especially true since the pandemic, because many popular snacks weren’t available when the parks first reopened, but have since returned. And finally, after many long months, we may soon see a fan-favorite snack come back to Magic Kingdom!
This morning, we spotted something unusual (and very exciting!) on the Disney World website. When taking a glance at the menu for Aloha Isle, we noticed that the Pineapple Upside-Down Cake is BACK! It’s listed for $6.99 on the Aloha Isle menu (it’s on both the website and the My Disney Experience app).
We haven’t seen this snack available in quite some time, so we were excited to stop by and pick one up ASAP. However, when we arrived, it wasn’t listed on the physical menu at the snack stand!
When we spoke to a Cast Member, we were told that they can only serve the items listed on the menu at the restaurant, and that the Pineapple Upside-Down Cake wasn’t available at this time. Big bummer!
Either way, we’ll continue to check back here to see if it arrives. Who WOULDN’T want to try one of these delicious cakes topped with Dole Whip, vanilla soft-serve, or a tasty swirl of both flavors?
Stay tuned to DFB for more food updates from Disney World, and all the details on new menu items that we find in the parks! We’ve got you covered with all the news before your big vacation!
