Pixar has made and released over 2 dozen movies since they kicked off with Toy Story in 1995, and we’re sure you have a favorite!
From Monsters, Inc. to Turning Red to The Incredibles, there are so many to choose from, and while we probably can’t all agree on which movie is the best, we can most likely agree that it’s exciting to get NEW Pixar films! And, guess what? We have details on the NEW Pixar movie coming next year!
Pixar’s 27th feature film will be called Elemental! It will be released on June 16th, 2023 (Father’s Day Weekend), according to a press release from Disney.
The film will follow the unlikely pair of Ember and Wade in a city where fire-, water-, land-, and air-residents live together. Ember (a fire-resident) and Wade (a water-resident) are about to discover something elemental: how much they actually have in common! Check out some concept art below:
Elemental is directed by Peter Sohn (The Good Dinosaur) who says the film is inspired by his childhood in New York. “My parents emigrated from Korea in the early 1970s and built a bustling grocery store in the Bronx. We were among many families who ventured to a new land with hopes and dreams—all of us mixing into one big salad bowl of cultures, languages and beautiful little neighborhoods. That’s what led me to ‘Elemental.’”
In a city where fire, water, land, & air residents live together, a fiery young woman & a go-with-the-flow guy will discover something elemental: How much they have in common. “Our story is based on the classic elements—fire, water, land and air. Some elements mix with each other, and some don’t. What if these elements were alive?”
Sounds exciting! We’ll keep you updated on the latest about the film, so stay tuned to DFB for more.

Okay. I’m ready to cry, Pixar.
Yes, I’m ready to cry too, do we have a trailer yet?
Honestly I sounds like more of the same. Yawn
This actually interests me. I haven’t truly loved many of the Pixar offerings lately; I think Coco was probably the last one that I *really* liked and watched more than once. (Yes, I know, I’m the only one. *L*)
I’m waiting for Wall-2 due June 17 th anyone know if this is still accurate?
