VIDEO: Sneak Peek at the MagicBand+ in Action in Disney World

In case you missed it, the way you use MagicBands is CHANGING soon, as are MagicBands themselves!

MagicBand+

The MagicBand+ will do so much more than just get you into a Disney Park! It will elevate the guest experience to a more immersive one, with guests able to interact with their environment in ways we’ve never seen before, and now we have a sneak peek at one special perk MagicBand+ wearers will get to do!

According to the Walt Disney Ambassadors on Instagram, some Cast Members got a sneak peek at the upcoming MagicBand+ in Magic Kingdom! They participated in the “Disney Fab 50 Quest,” which involves the MagicBand+ interacting with the fifty 50th anniversary gold statues.

We recently purchased a MagicBand+ when some were mistakenly released early in Disney Springs, but we have not yet been able to experience any interactions in the parks. We were, however, able to check out some of the cool perks at a media event, like the different designs, lights, haptics, and more!

The MagicBand+ is expected to release this summer and the one we purchased early was $29.99, though we expect different designs may have different costs.

Lots of options!

The Cast Members were able to interact with statues such as Pinocchio, Chip ‘n Dale, Orand Bird, and Goofy, and each character has something fun to say! You can check out all the fun in the video below.

Disney has only said that the MagicBand+ will be available “this summer,” so make sure you keep checking back with DFB for the official release date!
