Have you ever thought about how unfair it is that you can eat at different restaurants but your dog can’t?
We as humans can try all different types of cuisines all around the world (being Disney Food Blog, we especially love all the restaurants you can eat at in Disney), but dogs typically have to stick to whatever dog food you buy them or the scraps you give them off your plate. But what if we told you there’s a restaurant that ONLY serves dogs? If you love that idea, it’s time to head to San Francisco!
According to the Los Angeles Times, Dogue is a new fine dining location in San Francisco’s Mission District that only serves canines! The restaurant serves Parisian pastries (pawtisserie) and dogguccinos starting at $4.95.
A seasonal and frequently rotated three-course meal is also available for Sunday walk-ins for $75 and includes options like organic beef chuck steak served with fermented carrots and beets.
Pet owners can choose from a variety of dishes, and Chef Rahmi Massarweh prepares them all himself. Massarweh worked as a chef for nearly a dozen years before stepping away in 2015 to open a dog daycare with his wife. After starting to cook for his dogs and the dogs at the daycare, he decided to open up Dogue.
If you don’t live in the Bay area but are looking for other ways to spoil your dog, you can get them their very own advent calendar this holiday season!
And if you’re taking a trip to Disney World soon, you can board your dog at their very own luxury hotel. As always, stay tuned to DFB for all the latest news.
