Universal Orlando Resort announced that due to Tropical Storm Nicole, Universal’s Volcano Bay water park has been already been closed, and the Universal Orlando Resort as well as CityWalk will be closing early as of 5PM on November 9th.
They did note that Universal hotels will remain open to guests at this time, and they expect to reopen on Thursday, November 10th on a phased and delayed basis.
Over in Disney World, all four theme parks will be closing early on November 9th, with Disney’s Animal Kingdom closing at 5PM, Disney’s Hollywood Studios closing at 6PM, and Magic Kingdom and EPCOT closing at 7PM. You can read more about Disney World’s phased closure plans here.
Tropical Storm Nicole is expected to strengthen into a hurricane today, so we’ll be monitoring this developing situation closely. Stay tuned for more updates!
