You need to get your Park Pass Reservations ASAP because Disney World is starting to SELL OUT for New Year’s Day!
Disney World’s Park Pass Reservation system began in 2020 when the parks reopened after the COVID-19 closures. The new-ish system means you have to get reservations for each park you plan to visit in addition to the park tickets themselves. If you’ll be in Disney World on New Year’s Day, you need to get those passes NOW.
If you have a Disney World park ticket, it’s free to make a park reservation, and we recommend making those reservations ASAP. Each park has a limited number of reservations available for each day, and we do see those spots fill up (especially during busy times like the holidays).
Magic Kingdom is already full for Christmas Day (unless you’re an Annual Passholder with an Incredi-Pass), and now New Year’s Day is starting to sell out as well.
Currently, there are no park passes available for Magic Kingdom on New Year’s Day 2023 except for Annual Passholders with an Incredi-Pass. All other guests (including those who are staying at Disney hotels) can no longer book park passes for Magic Kingdom on that day.
EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios are still available on New Year’s Day.
Note that New Year’s Eve is almost completely booked up, with park passes sold out for Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Only Animal Kingdom is open for that day.
Although Magic Kingdom is sold out for Christmas Day, all of the other 3 theme parks still have availability (including EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios).
You can make Park Pass Reservations as soon as you have a theme park ticket, and Annual Passholders have a certain number of reservations that they can hold at any given time. (Learn more about how the system works — including more details about the limits for Annual Passholders — here.) It’s best to make those reservations as soon as your trip is planned so that you don’t get blocked out of a park you wanted to visit.
We’ll continue to watch for more updates from Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for all the latest news.
