We Found Valentine's Day Churros and Donuts in Disney World

Well, February has arrived, and you know what that means — NEW food in Disney World!

We’ve already checked out Gideon’s Cookie of the Month (the Eternal Flame Cookie is back!). We also discovered one of our new favorite cakes in Disney World. We even had some AMAZING mac and cheese! But when we were perusing some goodies over at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, a certain MASSIVE donut caught our eye, so we had to try it.

Meet the Valentine’s Day Donut, which is, yes, shaped like a heart (sort of…). It’s also MASSIVE! It’s a yeast donut with white icing and heart-shaped sprinkles. Although the flavor is a little basic (it’s just a regular vanilla donut), it gives us nostalgic feels, particularly with the icing that reminds us of the sugar icing we put on cookies.

Also, those sprinkles are ADORABLE. However, it was a little dry, but we picked it up later in the afternoon, so that could be because it was sitting in the case all day. Also, the heart shaping is a little off — but maybe it’s not easy making a donut look like a heart?

Overall, though, it’s a fun and celebratory sweet treat. If we’re going to accept any heart-shaped Valentines this year, it might as well be a donut, right? The donut was $5.99 at Contemporary Grounds.

While we were wandering around Disney Springs today, we found more Valentine’s Day treats popping up, too, like the Red Velvet Cannoli at Vivoli il Gelato. It’s made with ricotta cheese, red velvet cake, and chocolate chips.

We also found some new Valentine’s Day churros at Sunshine Churros. There’s the Strawberry Shortcake Churro, which is a churro rolled in powdered sugar and drizzled with strawberry dessert topping. It’s $7.95.

You can also get the XOXO Churro, which is a churro rolled in powdered sugar, drizzled with chocolate and raspberry sauce, and topped with Valentine sprinkles.
