Only at Disney World is getting evacuated off a ride exciting! It seems that Disney just has a way of making the mundane magical, huh?
Many guests treat the experience of a ride evacuation as a chance to take a one-of-a-kind backstage tour — witnessing all the ins and outs of their favorite ride in a way they’ve never seen them before! Most of these evacuations aren’t serious and can be caused by something as minor as a spill taking a while to be cleaned up or show elements like spotlights not working.
One of our readers was recently evacuated off Journey into Imagination with Figment! Thanks to DFB reader Beth M. for sending us these photos!
So, what is it like to get evacuated from Journey Into Imagination? Unlike Figment, we won’t make you use your imagination alone. Things look a little less dream-like with the work lights on!
This part made us wonder if this was Journey Into Imagination or the spookiest carnival ever….
We learned the secret behind Figment’s footprints! They’re little light-up signs all along the tunnel.
Things definitely looked different without the black lights…
…and here’s a look at the ride path!
Well, was it what you expected? We loved taking a look at these photos and getting a behind-the-scenes glimpse of this fan-favorite ride. We love when our readers share photos with us, and when they do, we try to share them here for the rest of you to see! Make sure to follow along for more news — including inside looks at evacuations.
Speaking of evacuations… sometimes rides close down for a LONG time! The good news is, they’re scheduled to do so. Click the link below so you know which rides will be closed in 2o23 so that they don’t catch you by surprise!

Leaves little to the “imagination”!
shows how really barren and empty this ride is whether the lights are on or not, Disney cant do rides like they use to, and minimal as possible from here on out. They should be embarrassed of Imagination and the lack thereof.
