Today’s snacking quest takes us to Tomorrowland in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom!

Magic Kingdom is home to several fan-favorite Disney snacks, including the DOLE Whip and and Cheeseburger Spring Rolls. When we found out that today’s snack would be returning to Tomorrowland, we seriously got excited. Why? Because it’s been a LONG time since we’ve seen this type of snack from this restaurant. Like, almost 10 years.

That’s right, gourmet hot dogs are BACK at Tomorrowland’s quick service restaurant, The Lunching Pad. We’ve seen gourmet hot dogs at this spot before, but it’s been a LONG time. Back in 2014, we had the BLT Hot Dog, the Coney Island Dog, and the Philly Cheese Steak Dog. But since then, there’s mostly just been soft pretzels, a plain hot dog, and sometimes special things like a pulled pork sandwich or 50th anniversary chicken tenders.

We hopped over to Magic Kingdom and tried these as soon as we could. There are THREE new hotdogs, each for $12.29: the Queso Fundido Hotdog, the Banh Mi Hotdog, and the Cuban Hotdog. And before you ask, yes. We did try all three, and we enjoyed every minute.

The first one we tried was the Banh Mi Hotdog, which is an all-beef hot dog served with pickled vegetables, cilantro, and sriracha mayonnaise. Plus, it comes with chips! Our first thought when we got our hands on this item was the SIZE of it. You could truly make a meal of one of these bad boys.

The combination of toppings worked really well to give this one a good, unique flavor! The vegetables and sriracha mayonnaise work together to give the hotdog a spicy kick, while the carrots and cilantro added a nice crunch without distracting from the flavor. The only downside is that it doesn’t include a lot of sriracha mayonnaise, and we were hoping for more.

Time to grab lunch at The Lunching Pad, where there are NEW hotdogs on the menu!

If you love veggies, a crunch to your food, and a bit of a kick, you should definitely try the Banh Mi Hotdog.

Next, we tried the Cuban Hotdog. This one is an all-beef hotdog topped with diced ham, pickles, Swiss fondue, and Dijonaise served alongside chips. This one was also massive and really made for quite the presence.

This one was interesting! The mixture of diced ham, pickles, and Dijonaise almost reminded us of a creamy chicken salad. It was very filling. This one was definitely good, but the appearance might look a bit unappetizing to some due to the messy Swiss fondue. Plus, the bun gets really soggy under all of that sauce.

If you love pickles and fondue, definitely give the Cuban hot dog a try! However, if you’re weirded out by soggy textures or typically pass up on cheese and pickles, you might wanna skip it.

Last but not least, we tried the Queso Fundido Hot Dog. This all-beef hot dog is topped with Queso Fundido, street corn relish, and spiced tortilla strips. This is a fun-looking dish!

The Queso Fundido tasted great but wasn’t overpowering. It complemented the flavor of the hot dog nicely. The spiced tortilla strips added a nice crunch, but they didn’t necessarily add to the flavor. If you didn’t know this was Queso Fundido, you’d probably just think it was a normal chili dog.

This one also gets very soggy and we recommend eating it with a fork. If you love Tex-Mex flavors, you should try the Queso Fundido Hot Dog! Or, if you love Pecos Bill and are looking for something similar but new, this could be a great option.
