St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner and we’re getting into the Irish spirit!
Disney makes it pretty easy because there are always lots of ways to celebrate around the parks. Over at Disney Springs, there is always a big celebration at Raglan Road for the holiday, and all over the parks, you’ll find themed treats for the occasion. We’ve already tried the Shamrock Cone at Swirls on the Water in Disney Springs, but today we’re reviewing another green snack, and we headed to Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort to get it.
Over at this Deluxe Resort, The Artist’s Palette is a quick-service restaurant that usually serves some fun and creative cupcakes, so when we saw this Mickey Pot of Gold cake we had to check it out! This is a Stout-Chocolate Cake filled with Irish Cream Mousse dipped in a Chocolate Shell with buttercream, gold sprinkles, and a rainbow gummy.
I mean, look how cute this is! That little rainbow gummy? Adorable. Thankfully, it was as good as it looked. The stout-chocolate cake was very moist and rich, and the exterior was surprisingly soft and broke easily when we bit into it.
The Irish Cream Mousse complimented it perfectly. It was smooth and creamy and had a perfect hint of an alcohol bite. Even the buttercream on top had a perfect texture. And how can you not love those gold coin sprinkles?
We got this delicious treat for $5.99. Overall, chocolate lovers should really enjoy this. It was rich and creamy and the perfect Insta-worthy treat. Keep in mind, however, that the alcohol flavor is present, so if you’re not a fan of that this might not be for you.
We’ll continue to try more St. Patricks Day snacks, so stay tuned to DFB for more!
