It's Happening! Disney Executive Confirms 'Hocus Pocus 3' Movie

There are SO many to choose from. You’ve got Tim Burton’s A Nightmare Before Christmas. You’ve got the CLASSIC and iconic Halloweentown. But we think for many of us, one of our favorites is Hocus Pocus, which got a sequel in 2022. Well, get ready, because Hocus Pocus 3 is on the way!

That’s right. We’re getting ready to run amuck, amuck, amuck ALL over again because Hocus Pocus 3 is in the works! In an interview with The New York Times, Sean Bailey, the president of Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production, confirmed that Hocus Pocus 3 “is happening.” It’s REALLY HAPPENING!

The New York Times interview covered a range of upcoming films, and Bailey seemingly confirmed that the new movie is on its way, “Mr. Bailey, who watched The Little Mermaid 18 times as it worked its way through Disney’s pipeline, has more than 50 movies in various stages of development and production, including live-action versions of Moana, Hercules and Lilo and Stitch. Yes, “Hocus Pocus 3” is happening. (His division makes two or three big-budget films annually for release in theaters and three modestly budgeted movies for Disney+.).”

Now, we have no idea what the third movie in the franchise will be about — and it seemed like the story of the Sanderson Sisters was finished in Hocus Pocus 2, but hey, you can’t keep a good witch down (or in this case a good three witches), so we might guess that Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Kajimy would be down to reprise their roles (we can’t get enough of those Sanderson Sisters!).

We also don’t know if this will be a theatrical release or something being made for Disney+ like the second movie. But wherever it ends up, we know there are a lot of Hocus Pocus fans out there who are going to be excited about this news (it’s us — it’s US!).
