We know that there are SO many other things to eat in Disney World, but when you want a burger, where do you go?
If you’re in Disney Springs, you might grab a burger from D-Luxe Burger (after all, that’s what they specialize in). Or maybe you like your burger in the form of Cheeseburger Pods at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. But what if you’re staying at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort when that burger craving hits? Well, there’s an EXCLUSIVE burger there — and we’re trying it out for you.
You can get a few burgers at End Zone Food Court, including a Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger and a Cheddar Cheeseburger. But the SPECIAL burger here is the Bases Loaded Burger for $13.49, which is made with a Grilled Signature-blend Burger with Fresh Mozzarella, Basil Aioli, Arugula, and Tomato on a Toasted Brioche Bun served with French Fries.
Yes, this burger is loaded with Italian flavors, and those ingredients kind of reminded us of what you’d put on a pizza or pasta. The mozzarella is very fresh and we liked how the tomato brought a brightness to it all, as well as contrasted well with the arugula. The basil aioli also had a nice seasoning that added to the overall flavor. So technically, this burger is Italian food, right?
The tomato and mozzarella are both cold, though, so that was kind of a weird thing for us combined with the warm ingredients — a melted mozzarella would’ve worked SO well on this. The burger itself is nothing special –if you’ve had one Disney World burger patty, you’ll know what it tastes like. It’s just…okay. The fries are those Disney fries, and yes, we often crave them.
Overall, though, this is a good choice if you’re staying at the resort and want a burger, but also want something a LITTLE different. We do have to point out that this burger will be changing soon, though. It looks like it will be trading its Italian flavors for something else. We’ll be sure to try that version of it (set to debut on June 21st), too, so stay tuned to DFB for more!
