Howdy from Magic Kingdom!
Disney World decided to release three new menu items in Frontierland, so we’re donning our cowboy hats and boots to check out new chicken tenders, burgers, and CHURROS!
NEW CHURRO ALERT!
Sound the churro bell, everyone. Disney World just announced three new snacks coming to Magic Kingdom, and one of them is new churros, which means we can’t resist. Don’t be surprised if you see us in line in Frontierland with empty stomachs.
You know when you want the food of a sit down restaruant but the idea of having a whole dining experience just seems too much? Let me introduce you to Disney World lounges. These are our favorite spots to grab a drink and an appetizer to escape the chaos of the theme parks without having to commit to a full-service meal.
We’re heading to the Steakhouse 71 Lounge at Disney’s Contemporary Resort to check out some bites and drinks and see if you should add this stop to your Disney World trip.
In case you missed it, we’ve been sailing on the brand new Disney Adventure, which is the first Disney Cruise Line ship to sail out of Singapore. And y’all…so far, it’s been MAGICAL (yeah, we know that word is overused, but it really is the BEST way to describe this cruise).
There’s so much to see and do on the ship. We even got to ride some Marvel-themed attractions, visited a Moana-themed restaurant, and more. We also got to visit a casual dining spot, Stitch’s Ohana Grill…and well, let’s just say that what we had there SURPRISED US big time!
Okay, so we know there are a lot of unique foods and snacks you can have in Disney World, not to mention all the fun Mickey-shaped treats. But sometimes, you know, you just want a really good burger.
Now, not all burgers in Disney World are made equally, and let’s just say that the ones in the parks haven’t always done much to wow us. But in Disney Springs, you can find some pretty good burgers in several restaurants, but one of our favorite burgers has just returned…and we’re STOKED.
The Magic Kingdom may be Walt Disney World’s oldest – and most popular – theme park, but the food offerings at the “Most Magical Place on Earth” leave a lot to be desired.
In the many years I’ve been visiting the Magic Kingdom, I’ve had a lot of meals at the Magic Kingdom, as has the rest of the DFB team. Over that time, we’ve tried table service, quick service, snack carts, and everything in between. Some things we’ve loved, and others, well…
Yeah, yeah, yeah, we know we’re the DISNEY Food Blog, but you’ll find us driving through McDonald’s on a pretty regular basis, too (it doesn’t hurt that the world’s largest McDonald’s is so close to Disney World).
Sometimes, we just want to grab a Happy Meal with the latest Disney toy. Sometimes we just crave those fries (which you used to be able to get at Disney World a long time ago). Sometimes, we just want a fast meal that’s usually reliable. Well, if you love McDonald’s as much as we do, you’ll want to know about a new menu item that just dropped.
Menu items come and go all the time in Disney World.
Sometimes we get really attached to a snack, entree, or dessert, and then Disney cruelly snatches it away from us…but by now we’ve gotten used to it. The good news is that some foods also rotate seasonally, so we can comfort ourselves by knowing they’ll come back around in the future. And that’s exactly what happened with one of our favorite eats in Disney Springs!
Disney World is full of some fantastic dining experiences, and checking them out is something we do a lot of here. We are Disney Food Blog, after all.
While there are plenty of meals we will sing about from the rooftops, there are some that we just can’t recommend. We know your time and money are precious in Disney World, so here are some meals you might want to avoid to have the best experience possible.
Listen, here at DFB, we know a thing or two about Disney World food.
In fact, we’re pretty passionate about it. It’s kind of our whole thing. And this, dear DFB reader, is why we’re begging you, for the love of all things Disney, to please stop wasting your money on terrible burgers in the parks and hotels. Don’t worry — we’ll tell you where to eat instead.
