A brand NEW attraction is coming to EPCOT and we’ve got some news about it.
Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana will be a walk-through experience that encourages guests to play with “magical, living water.” We’ve shared all kinds of construction updates about it, why we’re worried about it, and even a peek at some testing that has been done. But now something new has arrived at the attraction — you’ll just have to listen verrrrrry closely to notice it.
While we were walking around EPCOT yesterday, we heard something NEW coming from the Moana attraction area — MUSIC! Listen closely — can you hear it? To us, some of the music sounded tropical — more like background/area music than a soundtrack from the movie, but it’s still very interesting!

Overall, the Moana attraction area does seem to be coming together.
Many of the pathways look like they are done, we can see what appear to be lighting fixtures in place, and there is even signage up at the Cast Member area in the front.
The Moana attraction is set to open in the fall of 2023 within World Nature.
Again, it will be a walk-through experience (not a traditional ride) and will teach guests about the natural water cycle.
Throughout the experience, you’ll want to look for little nods to familiar characters and shapes carved into the rocks and waterways!
Even Moana herself will appear in rock form!
And you can’t miss the GIANT Te Fiti figure that’ll be in the attraction.

But there’s even MORE coming to EPCOT soon, including the CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza areas, a Figment meet-and-greet, and a new Mickey and friends meet-and-greet.
