Mobile order makes eating in Disney World a lot easier.

For one, you’re not waiting in more lines just to order your food, and second, you can check out the menu well before you place your order to decide what you’d like to get. But, if you don’t want to use mobile order, most locations will allow you to order like normal rather than use your phone. Which is good, because there is one thing you can’t do via mobile order in Disney World.

While mobile order may make many things easier, it does make saving money a bit harder. Why, you ask? Because most entrees come with sides. Most of the time, mobile orders won’t let you remove those sides.

For example, a meal of Corn Dog Nuggets with Fries or a Cuties Orange is $10.49 at Casey’s Corner. But what if you only wanted the corn dog nuggets? There’s no way to customize removing the side in the app, so you’re being charged for the entree and the side, even if you only want the entree.

However, if you decide to walk up and order your food, you can save a bit by removing the side. While this may not be the ideal solution for everyone since many prefer the convenience of mobile order, if you’re really watching your budget and want to save some money, this may be a good tip to keep in mind.
