This 100th Anniversary Souvenir Takes Things to a WHOLE. NEW. LEVEL.

The Walt Disney Company’s 100th Anniversary is still going strong.

We’ve seen so much unique merchandise released to celebrate the company’s 100 years, including a Vespa, a car, a LEGO castle, and more. But the most beautiful, and perhaps the ULTIMATE, 100th Anniversary souvenir might just be this gorgeous new piece designed by Swarovski.

Swarovski partnered with Disney Create 100, a program where Disney invited “creative visionaries” from around the world in fashion, music, art, and film to make contributions inspired by their favorite Disney stories and characters. These contributions will be auctioned off to raise awareness and funds for Make-A-Wish, a charity that grants wishes for children from all over the world who are living with critical illnesses.

Swarovski’s contribution was a replica of the bespoke solid crystal slipper that was created for Disney’s live-action Cinderella film. It took eight crystal specialists nearly 150 hours to make the slipper, which has 221 sparkling facets that are coated with a light-reflecting Aurora Borealis shimmer. The top of the slipper features a crystal butterfly, and the slipper itself has a 6-inch heel.

Swarovski’s Creative Director Giovanna Engelbert said, “What inspires me to recreate the iconic Cinderella slipper for this auction — of course, it’s the name of the charity, it’s about the wish. And, of course, it’s the most famous shoe in the world, and it’s made out of crystal. And I thought it was the best possible iconic way to translate the world of Swarovski together with the world of Disney.”

Disney has not yet announced when these items will be auctioned off, but we’ll keep an eye out for details and get them to you when we know more.
