If you absolutely love candy, lean in close — there’s a secret Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tip you NEED to know about!
Part of the fun of this separately ticketed event is the ability to go trick-or-treating in Magic Kingdom all decked out in your very BEST Halloween costume. We’ve even got a full list of the trick-or-treat locations you’ll find in the park so you can make sure to maximize your candy collection. But if you’re looking for the GOOD STUFF, there’s one stop you can’t skip!
Typically, the candy you’ll get throughout Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is the smaller, “fun-sized” stuff. Now, there’s nothing wrong with that — it’s fun to pop a tiny little piece of candy in your mouth…and then another…and another…until you’ve hit a Disney-level sugar rush!
But, you know how some houses on your neighborhood block back home pass out the good stuff? We’re talking FULL-SIZE bags of candy!!! Well, we found “that” house at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and you won’t want to miss it!
When we visited Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on its opening night we found that Cast Members were handing out BIG BAGS of Fudge Brownie M&Ms at the very first trick-or-treat station, right when you grab your trick-or-treat bags and wristbands. You’ll be herded that way early in the party, so it’s very difficult to miss unless you’re entering the park later in the evening!
We found this trick-or-treat station over on the side path off Main Street, U.S.A. (a path that’s only typically open for big crowds).
We spotted a full-sized candy distribution spot in 2022 too, so we were really happy to see it return this year.
Keep in mind that this is what we encountered during our visit but it’s always possible that (1) the full-sized candy bag distribution location could change, and/or (2) Disney may not provide full-sized bags of candy at future parties. You never know how things can change, BUT if you do happen to attend a Halloween Party this year, it’s something you’ll definitely want to be on the lookout for!
Disney has a partnership with Mars Wrigley and they are the signature sponsor of the Halloween Party, so it makes sense that Disney would offer some exciting and particularly tasty treats.
Just note that you will NOT find full-sized candy at all of the trick-or-treat spots. Thus far, we only found it at this one location (and, again, that’s always subject to change). But it can be a GREAT thing to grab and snack on as you enjoy the rest of the spooky festivities!
If you’re planning to visit Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year and don’t already have your tickets, be sure to buy those ASAP because several dates are already sold out or are close to selling out!
And while the candy is free, there are some exclusive snacks you can buy while at the party — click here to read all about those. Stay tuned for more news about this spooky experience and check back with us for all the latest from Disney World.
