If you are heading to EPCOT soon, make sure you have a Park Pass reservation.
Every guest needs a park reservation in addition to their ticket to enter a Disney World park. This change came after the closure of Disney World in 2020 and has remained in place. While the reservation system is set to change in January 2024, you must still make a reservation for now. This is important to make your reservations ahead of time as some parks can fill up or “sell out.”
It was recently announced that Annual Passholders will be given the opportunity to preview Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana at EPCOT. Passholders can attend a preview of the attraction on the following dates: September 24th to September 29th, 2023, and October 1st to October 4th, 2023. The previews will be available from park open to park close on those dates. To participate, you will need a valid Annual Pass and a valid EPCOT Park Pass reservation for the day of your visit/the preview you want to attend.
However, some of the dates have hit capacity for Annual Passholders. According to the Disney Park Pass calendar, September 24th and October 1st are no longer available to book a reservation. This could, of course, change, and you should keep an eye out to see if more spots open on those days, but for now, if you do not have a reservation, you will not be able to attend a preview during those days.
UPDATE: As of September 19th, the sold-out dates have changed. Now, September 24th, 25th, 29th, and October 1st are all sold out.
We were able to attend a Cast Member preview of the newest attraction, and we can see why this is already so popular. Journey of Water is an interactive, walk-through experience that will be opening this fall in EPCOT’s World Nature. The attraction allows you to interact with “living water,” learn about the natural water cycle (and how to protect and preserve water), and features all kinds of unique character details to hunt for.
No official opening date has been announced, but it is set to open in Fall 2023. For more Disney news, make sure to follow us at DFB.
