We are constantly on the hunt for new snacks around Disney World.
Of course, we have our favorite go-to snacks like Dole Whip or a Mickey Pretzel (mostly for the plastic cheese!). But, we love trying out new snacks to let YOU know if it’s worth your vacation time and money. So when we saw a new snack on the menu in Tomorrowland, we had to try it out.
When TRON Lightcycle / Run opened in April, a new snack stand also debuted nearby. Energy Bytes can be found across from TRON and serves sweets and drinks like the Pina Colada Slushy. We’ve seen snacks and drinks rotate out of here often, so you never know what you may find at this little snack spot! But those old menu items can move over because the new Passion Fruit IceOform is in town. Sounds pretty intriguing, but how does it taste?
This snack has Ice Cream Mochi with Citrus, Shortbread Crunch, and Purple Ube Foam. Let’s take a closer look at this sweet treat. So far, it’s looking pretty colorful and unique, though. One point for Disney.
Hurry to Tomorrowland to try the new Passion Fruit IceOform from Energy Bytes!
It’s Ice Cream Mochi with Citrus, Shortbread Crunch, and Purple Ube Foam for $5.79! pic.twitter.com/BNBssjd2q8

There is a base layer of the shortbread crumb, topped with flavored ice cream mochi. The purple Ube foam topping gives it a lot of eye-catching appeal, don’t you think? It is served in a bowl, and you’ll want to grab a spoon to eat it.
The foam was fluffy but had no distinct flavor other than that classic sugary taste from Disney desserts. The texture was similar to whipped cream. The ice cream mochi was very sweet, like candy. You could taste that tart passion fruit flavor right when you bit into the mochi. The shortbread crumbs were a hit for our reporter, and she wished there were more crumbs to help add texture and balance to the snack.
For $5.79, it’s worth a try if you like very sweet and fruity snacks. If you are a mochi fan, it is also worth trying. However, if you want a savory snack, head to our favorite spring roll cart by Adventureland for a Cheeseburger Spring Roll instead. But hey, if you’re sitting out TRON while your friends and family zoom through the grid, this might be a fun little snack to try while you wait!
