We have passed Christmas and are nearing ever closer to 2024!

Magic Kingdom

This week is when we really start to see the crowds hit Disney World. Everyone celebrating the holidays is still visiting the parks, and now, those who want to be there to ring in the New Year are starting to join. We noticed a few not-so-subtle clues that indicate the parks are going to be busy today (and most likely the rest of the week)!

Before we even stepped foot into the parks, our first indication that today, December 27th, was going to be busy was that every single park was out of park reservations. Yep, not a single one of the four parks had any reservations available. So you know it’s going to be a busy day everywhere in Disney World!

Next, we also saw that Genie+ is STILL at its record-high price! Since there’s such a high demand on busy park days, Disney has continued to keep these very high prices going.

The Multiple Parks and Magic Kingdom are still at $39, EPCOT is at $32, Hollywood Studios is at $35, and Animal Kingdom is going for $29. We aren’t surprised to see these high prices on such a busy day in the parks.

Our third clue (and least subtle of all) is the clear amount of people we saw when we got to the parks, today! It was VERY busy. Busy is actually an understatement. There are people everywhere in the parks. Check out this video of Main Street, U.S.A. on this cloudy morning.

And apparently, EVERYONE wants to ride the Haunted Mansion, today! Check out this line for the spooky ride.

The rest of the week isn’t sold out of park passes entirely, yet, but we’re still pretty sure it’s going to continue being crowded in the parks. We’ll be on the lookout for any changes to Genie+ and reservations!
