If there’s one thing we can count on in Disney World, it’s that change is inevitable. One moment, we’re walking through Magic Kingdom’s bustling Frontierland; the next, this same part of the park is practically a ghost town! Even Disney World HOTELS have been undergoing changes lately, including Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. In fact, there’s one restaurant at this hotel that we’ve been missing for YEARS, and Disney finally announced a reopening date!
Mark your calendars! Disney’s beloved 1900 Park Fare restaurant is reopening SOON with some MAJOR changes. We’re still waiting for a new look at the menu here, but in the meantime, let’s talk about some of the clues we have about this character dining location.
Disney revealed that 1900 Park Fare will reopen on April 10th, 2024. That’s SOON! So far, we know that the restaurant will reopen with some new characters, new menu items, and new decorations.
Based on Disney’s latest announcement, we have a feeling this restaurant will be focused on “the power of a wish.” For example, during the breakfast and dinner meals, you’ll be able to meet some adventurous Disney characters known for having big dreams and powerful wishes. Look out for Aladdin in his Prince Ali look, Cinderella, Mirabel, and Tiana in her new look at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ride.
OK, so like we said, we’re still waiting for Disney to share the menu here. But so far, we know that a fan favorite menu item WILL return, along with “tasty cuisine” like Eggs Benedict and Tiana’s Gumbo. Disney announced that you will be able to enjoy classic breakfast options like Mickey waffles and savory dinner options like chicken, pizza, and macaroni and cheese.
Note that breakfast and dinner will both be served as a buffet meal, so feel free to pick and choose as many new (and returning) menu items as you want! According to Disney, there will be new menu offerings available that pay homage to the new characters and their stories.
What could these new menu items look like? We’ve got a NEW preview! Take a look at this colorful drink we spotted on the 1900 Park Fare website. We spy a starfruit! That certainly matches the new “wish” theme, right?
Speaking of stars and wishes, we also got a peek at a NEW cupcake! This treat looks pretty sweet, right?
Reservations will open for 1900 Park Fare SOON — March 5th, to be exact! If you’re interested in checking this place out, we recommend trying to get that reservation as SOON as possible. In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.

*sigh* 1900 Park Fare used to be SO great. The food was pretty standard, but the characters more than made up for it. None of these new characters have any particular appeal, and the food looks like a downright turnoff.

Mary Poppins and Alice in Wonderland characters have always fit this venue so perfectly. Sad to see them go.

I loved having the British Literature characters there for breakfast. I will especially miss Mary Poppins, Alice, and the Mad Hatter. Sigh.

I loved the British theme here. So sad to see it go. The characters were perfect here.
