There’s a new expansion coming to Tokyo Disneyland, and it’s gonna be huge!
Fantasy Springs is Tokyo DisneySea’s eighth port, and its scheduled opening date is just around the corner on June 6th, 2024! With the new expansion set to open in just a few months, here’s everything you need to know about Fantasy Springs!
What is Fantasy Springs?
According to Disney, Fantasy Springs is themed to “a magical spring leading to a world of Disney fantasy.” The all-new eighth port at Tokyo DisneySea is located between Arabian Coast and Lost River Delta.
Fantasy Springs will be home to three areas inspired by the Disney animated films Frozen, Tangled, and Peter Pan, plus the new Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel.

Frozen Kingdom
Frozen Kingdom will be themed to the movie Frozen, and it will take guests to the kingdom of Arendelle. It takes place after the film’s finale, so Elsa is finally able to embrace her previously hidden powers, meaning you can expect lots of snow and ice theming.
This area will feature one attraction — Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey. The ride will take guests on a boat that travels through scenes from Frozen showing the tale of two sisters discovering true love. It begins with Grand Pabbie, the leader of the trolls, retelling the film’s story. Then, you’ll journey through Anna and Elsa’s memories, accompanied by songs from the movie like, “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” “For the First Time in Forever,” “Love Is an Open Door,” and “Let It Go.” The story builds to Anna turning into ice in her attempt to save Elsa from Hans.
Frozen Kingdom will also include two new dining options, the Royal Banquet of Arendelle and Oaken’s OK Foods. Inside the Royal Banquet of Arendelle, you can dine in the place of Elsa’s coronation, as Anna and Elsa have opened the castle gates and transformed it into a dining area, complete with books and artwork of iconic Frozen characters.
And at Oaken’s OK Foods, you can try Scandinavian specialties, like a fluffy, cardamom bread filled with Scandinavian-style spiced meat and lingonberry jam.
Now that we’ve visited Arendelle, let’s explore our new dream!

Rapunzel’s Forest
Fans of Tangled can step into the world of the Lost Princess in Rapunzel’s Forest! In addition to Rapunzel’s famous tower, this area will also include one ride and one restaurant.
The ride, Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival, offers an exciting opportunity to step into the story of Rapunzel for the first time in a Disney park. It’s a water ride that will last about 5 minutes, beginning at Rapunzel’s tower where she’s singing “When Will My Life Begin” from the window while Flynn Rider watches. After escaping the tower, they go on to visit several locations from the film. The journey ends with the iconic Lantern Festival complete with “I See the Light” and countless glowing lanterns.
And in keeping with the theme of Tangled places we’ve always wanted to see, the area will include the tavern from the movie, The Snuggly Duckling! The restaurant will serve Tangled-inspired menu items, like the Duckling’s Dream Cheeseburger and the Sweet Ever After Dessert served in a frying pan.
We can’t wait to have the “best day ever” with some of our favorite places from Rapunzel’s story!

Peter Pan’s Neverland
The third area of Fantasy Springs will be centered around the story of Peter Pan, with two new rides plus a restaurant.
The first attraction, Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure, takes guests on an adventure to rescue John from Captain Hook and his band of pirates with Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, and the Lost Kids along to help. You’ll board a boat sprinkled with fairy dust and soar into the sky, where you’ll see Wendy, Michael, the mermaids, and Captain Hook’s moored ship, the Jolly Roger.
The second attraction is in Pixie Hollow. Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies will give guests the chance to explore fairy valley and its changing seasons. You’ll shrink down to the size of a fairy and get to see tons of things like flowers, mushrooms, painting utensils, and pieces of nibbled cheese from a fairy’s point of view.
The restaurant in this area is Lookout Cookout. Made from parts of a shipwreck washed ashore in Never Land, it’s decorated with items from the Lost Kids like pajamas and hammocks. On the menu, you’ll find things like the Lost Kids’ Snack Box with chicken tenders, seaweed fritters, banana chips, and shrimp chips, as well as a Pixie Dust Soda (Kiwi) with a star that dissolves into a silver sparkling effect like pixie dust!
As a bonus, the popcorn cart in Peter Pan’s Never Land will feature a brand-new flavor — Roast Beef Popcorn!
