I’m about to put y’all in a REALLY good mood. Life got ya down? Look no further. I’ve got some good news to share.
Some of our favorite things have returned to Disney World this week, and we’re looking forward to more changes coming in the near future! Today, we’re here to outline each of these things for you so that you can share this excitement with us. If you’re hoping to be put in a very good mood, just keep on reading.
We’ll start over at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort!
1900 Park Fare is OPEN at Disney World
1900 Park Fare is BACK! We visited the Grand Floridian Resort restaurant on its official reopening day of April 10th, 2024, more than four years after it closed due to the 2020 pandemic. With the reopening, you can now grab breakfast and dinner here once again.
We were able to meet Tiana, Aladdin, Mirabel, and Cinderella, and we absolutely LOVED the foods we tried here for both breakfast and dinner. We also loved that the space underwent a bit of a refresh and truly feels brand new.
This is up HIGH on our list of Disney World buffets, and we think it’s a great experience for families and even adults dining on their own! We don’t talk a whole lot about places that are great for adult-only groups, but because of really intentional character interactions and the YUMMY food, this one would be a winner for all ages. It also feels super nostalgic, even with the “new era” Disney characters like Tiana and Mirabel.

Next, let’s head right on over to Magic Kingdom and the rest of the Disney World parks!
Pin trading is BACK, baby!
Disney is bringing back one of the most popular elements of pin trading after a long hiatus! As of April 7th, we’re ecstatic to report that PIN TRADING WITH CAST MEMBERS IS BACK across all of Walt Disney World!
When Disney’s parks reopened following their pandemic-related closures, direct trading of pins between cast members and guests was shut down for safety reasons. Instead, guests could find much more limited-in-selection pin boards near the registers of certain retail locations and could then initiate a trade with the cast member working the register. This remained the status quo (outside of Disney Springs) much to the collector’s dismay, for almost 4 years. However, that’s all changing now.
That’s right, those visiting Walt Disney World will once again be able to swap pins with cast members, who will have lanyards and pouches full of pins once again across the whole resort! This is so exciting! See, all is being righted!

Finally, let’s head on over to Frontierland in Magic Kingdom.
A NEW detail was added to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is getting closer and closer to opening in Magic Kingdom and we can’t wait to ride it for the very first time! We’ve been keeping up with the latest construction updates ahead of the summer opening and spotted something NEW in the queue today — Tiana’s delivery truck has arrived!
Disney also shared a bit behind the scenes of this new truck on their Instagram, letting us know that Imagineers worked their magic overnight to install the Tiana’s Foods delivery truck in the queue at this ride — just another sign that we’re getting that much closer to the opening! Disney also said that “adding themed elements like this one helps transport guests into the attraction’s story before they experience it!”
We can just FEEL that opening date announcement coming soon and we are on the edge of our seats!
