We talk a lot about Southwest Airlines here at DFB, including the good, the bad, and the ugly. We know there are lots of airlines to choose from when you are planning your Disney World vacation, and we are here to help you make the most informed decision.
Now, while this particular event is not happening in Disney World, we wanted to let you know about a popular event that Southwest Airlines is bringing back! It may just call for us to book a trip to Oahu, so we can celebrate with Southwest Airlines and enjoy some island vibes.
Southwest Airlines is celebrating five years of service to Hawaii. To help celebrate, they are bringing back a popular event called Sunset on the Beach. This event is being produced in collaboration with Waikiki Improvement Association and the City and County of Honolulu. On select nights throughout the summer, Southwest Airlines will be hosting a night of fun on Oahu. So, if you just happen to be in the area, you can stop by!
Sunset on the Beach is a free, family-friendly event that features live music, games, food, and a movie night under the stars. This event takes place on Queen’s Beach in Waikiki and is available to anyone on the island. Southwest Airlines welcomes Hawaii residents, tourists, and seabirds alike!
Saturday rotating themed programming includes:
- June 22nd: Superhero Spotlight night with, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem”
- July 13th: Sunset Sing Along night featuring, “Trolls: Band Together”
- August 10th: Treats with Wonka night featuring, “Wonka”
- September 14th: Island Flashback night featuring, “Jumanji” (1995)
- October 12th: Beach Boos night featuring, “Hotel Transylvania”
