For the month of July, you can experience Flavors of Florida in Disney Springs!

This event gives you the opportunity to try tons of exciting menu offerings that highlight the best and brightest flavors Florida is known for. There are SO MANY menu items you won’t want to miss out on, BUT there’s another addition that you can’t miss, and it may not be what you’re expecting. You CANNOT, we repeat CANNOT, miss…the talking tree.

Yes, during Flavors of Florida, you’ll get a chance to meet Douglas, the Talking Fir! Douglas is often found wheeling around Disney Springs during the holidays since he is the type of tree typically known as a festive Christmas tree, but he’s made an appearance for the summer as well! As you can see, we’ve been fans of Douglas for a while.

Look! He’s BACK for the summer! What better way to celebrate Flavors of Florida than with our favorite Florida Fir!

It’s Douglas!

And yes, he really does talk! Douglas’ plant base has wheels built into it so he can wheel his way around the area and talk with different guests. And yes, you can chat with him, ask him questions, and he’ll reply to you in real time — it’s not canned, pre-planned responses, which we think is SO fun.

We love him!

He’s all decorated with oranges to match the summer feel, and we’re so glad to see him back.
