If you’re visiting Disney World, the My Disney Experience app will be your new best friend — because you’ll be using it for EVERYTHING.
You can use the app to check-in to your hotel room, unlock your hotel room door, Mobile Order food, use Mobile Check-Out for souvenirs, and purchasing and booking your Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass reservations. Speaking of Lightning Lanes, we just uncovered a feature that will come in SUPER handy when you’re in the parks and want to keep tabs on all those Lightning Lanes you’ve booked.
So let’s say you’ve booked some Lightning Lanes in Magic Kingdom. Sure, you can view a list of the three you can have booked at any given time, but did you know you can also view those on the map in My Disney Experience?
Now, this could come in super handy if you’re not familiar with navigating the parks and want to make sure you’re not doing a lot of backtracking when you’re hitting up those Lightning Lanes. So, you could look at those times and then plan the best route to take to get to each Lightning Lane. You’ll also be able to see those dining reservation times on the app, too.
Another thing we found really cool is that these times stay on the map for the entirety of the three-hour return. So you’ll be able to plan out a chunk of your day accordingly, which is ALWAYS helpful.
So, if you find yourself in Disney World and are trying to figure out the best way to knock out your Lightning Lanes without a lot of extra walking, be sure to look at the map on the My Disney Experience app — you can do this by clicking on the location icon at the bottom of the screen when you open the app. You can also use the “Filter” link at the top of the map to choose which park you’d like to see.
