If we were to ask you which company you admired most, what company would you say? We know we would likely put The Walt Disney Company pretty high up on our list, although we may be a bit biased.
Well, Fortune and Korn Ferry recently revealed the World’s Most Admired Companies for 2025, and you might be surprised to see where Disney ended up on the list!
To give you an idea of Disney’s past performance, in 2023, Disney was ranked #6, while in 2024, they dropped down to #12. The list ranks the 50 most admired companies across all industries, and while Disney made the top 50, it did not make it into the top 10.
In 2025, Disney was ranked as #13. It is another drop from last year’s ranking, but only by one slot. The World’s Most Admired Companies list seeks to identify “the organizations with the strongest corporate reputation within their industries across all sectors.” The list “highlights organizations most respected by their peers, with executives emphasizing financial stability, innovation, respected leadership, and expansion of global businesses.”
This year’s top slots were taken by Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Nvidia, and Berkshire Hathaway. All of the top companies scored high in financial stability, strong management, and global reach.
What does this mean for The Walt Disney Company? It tells us that the public perception of Disney has fallen slightly over the last year. However, the drop is not as significant as between 2023 and 2024. when Disney went from #6 to #12.
We are curious to see what Disney tells their shareholders at the next shareholder meeting on February 5th, 2025. We are expecting news about Disney’s recent movies, Mufasa and Moana 2, and we might hear comments about Universal’s Epic Universe and the hunt for the next CEO. However, you never know what announcements they might make! You know we will be listening closely and bringing you all the top news from the meeting.
In the meantime, if you are heading to Disney World this year, make sure you know about these 50 new tips for Disney World in 2025:

Disney is ruining its reputation as the most magical place on earth ! Yes it still is if you have lots of money ! If you don’t you feel unwelcome it’s becoming the most magical place on earth for the rich ! It’s lost its ethos !
What is the rating criteria for this list. Is it stock shares or consumer satisfaction. If the former, Disney rates a big fail
If the survey is CONSUMER SATISFACTION, Disney IS NOT IN TOP 50. Many long time Disney veterans like my family are unhappy with the following
1. Elimination of Magical Express
2. Elimination of FREE FAST PASS
3. Introduction of Genie Plus
4. Introduction of Individual Attraction
5. Premier
6.Higher prices for park entry
7.Higher prices for regular rides
8. Higher prices for more popular rides
9. Higher prices for Hotel Rooms
10. Higher prices for ALL FOOD
We can all understand Disney making some changes to increase revenue but Disney went WAY TOO FAR. I wish Disney would send out a survey to guests who visited Disney World in 2019 AND 2022 or 2023 or 2024. We know the difference in Disney. PLEASE ASK US FOR OUR OPINION
Ron; DVC member since 1993. I totally agree with you! One thing albeit minor, combine the inflated cost of everything Disney with our crazy devalued dollar (Canadian), Disney just isn’t worth the effort any more. I can handle the exchange rate but not the accelerated price gouging!
