These Disney World hotels are adding some new… “character” this summer!
In the 50+ years since Walt Disney World opened, character meet & greets were *mostly* limited to encounters at the resort’s theme parks and water parks, and character meals. While characters have been appearing at Disney’s hotels, those stops have usually been unscheduled and hard to catch. However, that’s all about to change.
According to the Disney Parks Blog, “This summer, guests staying at select resorts – Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge – will be able to enjoy even more Disney-themed activities designed for families with kids. These activities will include character visits with set appearance times to help you plan your day and an expanded itinerary of things to do with your family throughout your stay at these four resorts. “
Having scheduled character meet & greets at these Disney hotels is a game changer for Disney hotel guests, who will be able to meet their favorites BEFORE heading to the parks for the day OR add some Disney character magic to a day otherwise spent just relaxing at their resort.
Characters at these four hotels are part of a larger slate of offerings at Walt Disney World this summer. These include deals on hotel rooms and dining plans, new Kid Zone offerings at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, two new shows at Hollywood Studios (The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure and Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After) and the new Disney Starlight nighttime spectacular at the Magic Kingdom.
Guests at four Walt Disney World hotels are going to be able to meet characters right at their resorts this summer! Stay tuned to DFB for more on Disney World’s summer offerings!
