We are getting SO close to the opening of Epic Universe! We recently got a chance to preview Universal’s newest theme park, and Universal recently announced previews for Annual Passholders, 2025 Military Freedom Pass Ticket Holders, Universal Rewards Signature VISA Card members, and guests staying at any Universal Orlando hotel. However, we still can’t wait for the official grand opening on May 22nd, 2025!
Epic Universe features five themed lands from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic to Dark Universe. There is something for everyone at this immersive park, and the excitement has been growing.
If you are heading to Epic Universe, and one of your number one goals is to get as many attractions done as possible in a short amount of time, then you might want to consider utilizing single rider lines. However, single rider lines aren’t going to be for everyone, so we want to make sure you understand them before you decide to hop in one!
Currently, Single Rider Lines are listed as being available at Mine-Cart Madness™, Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, Curse of the Werewolf, Hiccup’s Wing Gliders, Mario Kart™: Bowser’s Challenge, and Stardust Racers. Remember that even though these attractions are listed as having Single Rider Lines, the single rider option is subject to availability, and it can close or open at any time.
Now, let’s talk a bit about what to expect with single rider lines. For starters, it is not a guarantee that a single rider line will be shorter than a stand-by line. Team Members may be able to give you an estimate on wait time, but they also may not know how long you might wait. Depending on the size of the line and the size of parties that are in the normal lines, you could be waiting just as long in the single rider line. Usually, Team Members try to monitor the line and close it off when it is getting long, but don’t always count on that.
As well, in the single rider line, you may not experience the full queue. The queue for single riders may skip sections or route you completely differently. Many of the attractions have highly themed queues, so you may be missing out on part of the experience if you use the single rider line. If you are worried about missing the queue, you can also ask a Team Member about what you will/won’t be able to see.
Joining the single rider line means you will NOT be sitting with your party. Essentially, you are a party of one, and Team Members will utilize you to fill empty seats. This also means that you won’t be able to request a specific seat or row. Make sure you discuss this with your party before joining the line, and make sure everyone is okay with riding with strangers. If you have younger kids,
Single rider lines can be a great way to experience attractions with a potentially shorter wait time, but make sure you understand the rules of the single rider line before you hop in.
