Attention D23 Members: Some VERY special tickets go on sale just for you in a few days. Are you ready?
Tickets for the 2025 Destination D23 event at Disney World go on sale on April 14th at 10 AM PST (1 PM EST). The event, titled Destination D23: A Journey Around the Worlds of Disney, will take place from Friday, August 29th, through Sunday, August 31st, at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. Here’s what you need to know ahead of this important event.
According to Disney, this year’s Destination D23 will “mark the biggest of its kind yet!” There will be behind-the-scenes stories, special guests, and live performances. Plus, you will have the exclusive opportunity to see a sneak peek at the company’s future, be among the first to access exclusive shopping opportunities, and experience new surprises. Below is a map for the main event!
Some of the presentations advertised for this year’s event include:
- Disney archivists, historians, Imagineers, Cast Members, filmmakers, Disney Legends and luminaries star in two days of programming spanning all the worlds of Disney!
- Panels dedicated to the attractions, entertainment, and experiences that define Disney theme parks and cruise ships.
- A preview of exciting upcoming projects from creators and storytellers at The Walt Disney Studio!
- A trip around the world with the Walt Disney Archives, featuring interstitial programming focusing on Disney’s vast connections and history to locales around the globe, including a special 80th-anniversary celebration of all things south of the border with The Three Caballeros!
The Disney Archives is also presenting Charting the Course, Disney’s Global Stories & Inspirations, an exhibit that celebrates the company’s storytelling. Fans will be treated to a curated selection of photography, artwork, and dimensional artifacts, and the showcase will highlight models, props, and costumes inspired by diverse cultures and landscapes, “all reflecting the enduring legacy of Disney’s storytelling.”
We can’t wait to see what the Walt Disney Archives shows off this year! Disney teased, “In this all-new and updated outing, you’ll never guess where we’ll end up next!”
In addition, there will be several special events throughout the weekend, including:
- D23 Kuzcotopia Night at Typhoon Lagoon: On Saturday, August 30th, attendees will be able to celebrate 25 years of Disney Animation’s cult classic The Emperor’s New Groove with a private event at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park! The party will include “special tributes to Disney’s water parks”, complimentary snacks, photo opportunities, special activities, and exclusive entertainment.
- Disney ’80s-’90s Celebration in Concert, presented by Disney+: This special concert “caps off the weekend’s journey with the ultimate throwback experience showcasing the best hits of these fan-favorite decades.” Broadway and Disney Animation stars will flashback through a generation of films and TV shows, with live performances, rock-concert lighting, and projections. We can’t wait to go from “Zero to Hero” and see it “I 2 I.” Disney promised musical moments from: Hercules, A Goofy Movie, Toy Story, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Mulan, Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas, The Lion King, The Disney Afternoon and more!
- A Goofy Movie Throwback Premiere: On Thursday, August 28th, the Disney Springs AMC Theater will host a special 30th-anniversary screening of A Goofy Movie in the same theater where the film’s Florida premiere was staged 30 years ago. This is a separately ticketed event available to all D23 Members, and tickets will go on sale at a later date.
Finally, the weekend will offer several special shopping experiences at Disney Springs, including:
- The Walt Disney Company Store, where D23 Gold Members will have access to official Destination D23 merchandise and new D23 Member-exclusive items from TWDC Store
- Mickey’s of Glendale, a pop-up installation of the Walt Disney Imagineering campus store
- Disney Studio Store Hollywood, a pop-up location at this year’s event that will feature new apparel, accessories, and pins
- Ink & Paint Marketplace, which features an assortment of items from fan favorite brands and friends of Disney including Lug, and more
