NEWS: Universal Announces A SECOND Universal Horror Unleashed Location

It’s time for some BIG scares!

Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights

Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights is a hugely popular event each year for fans looking for horror-themed houses, amazing snacks, and spooky live entertainment. This event is so popular that Universal is now expanding it across the country with one location in Las Vegas! Now, Universal has released a second location for spooks and scares, and we are too excited!

If you weren’t going to make it to Las Vegas, Orlando, or Hollywood for some Universal scares this year, you might be in luck. Universal has just confirmed that Universal Horror Unleashed will expand to a second location in Chicago!

This is going to operate as a year round, immersive horror entertainment experience. It’s going to be a new, indoor venue located on Chicago Avenue at the former Tribune Distribution Center! Universal promises, “entertainment that goes beyond the theme parks, bringing spine-chilling thrills, terrifying environments, and unforgettable scares to guests.”

The company pormised that the scares will extend to the food and drinks with themed cocktails and snacks, plus unique merchandise. There is no opening timeline at present, but we will keep you updated as we get new details. The original Universal Horror Unleashed location in Las Vegas is opening on August 14th, 2025.

Las Vegas’s Horror Unleased location was originally announced in January 2023 and it will be a 40-acre immersive entertainment district and events destination. It will feature four themed immersive areas and four haunted houses! The four houses announced will be inspired by:

Universal Monsters
Blumhouse’s The Exorcist: Believer
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Scarecrow: The Reaping

We can’t wait to see what Chicago’s Horror Unleashed experience will be as it continues to grow during construction. In Orlando, Halloween Horror Nights kicks off on August 29th, 2025, and we are waiting on the edge of our seats to check out all 10 houses this year.
