Reach out and find your happily ever afterrrrrrr!
Okay, now that one of the best Disney World soundtracks is stuck in your head (sorry, not sorry), you should know that the Happily Ever After fireworks spectacular is changing show times. You won’t want to miss the show because you thought they were at a different time, so listen up!
Starting on Sunday, August 31st, Happily Ever After will begin at 9:30 PM, instead of the 10 PM showing. Following that, showtimes from September 15th on will be at 9 PM.
As we get deeper into fall and winter, even if Florida hasn’t gotten the colder weather alert, the sun will be setting earlier, and we can have our nighttime shows earlier in the day. Park hours typically begin to change around this time as well.
As of September 15th, Magic Kingdom‘s park hours will be 9 AM to 10 PM. However, until then, the park is closed at 11 PM on normal days. Currently, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is also taking place, which means the park closes at 6 PM on select party nights.
During those party nights, don’t forget that Happily Ever After doesn’t play. Instead, you’ll have an incredible Not-So-Spooky Spectacular, and you’ll get to see my favorite part where Jack Skellington from the Nightmare Before Christmas calls out to his dog Zero, who flies over the castle as fireworks. Happily Ever After is also not available on Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party nights.
Now, what about that other nighttime show in Magic Kingdom? Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, the new nighttime parade that illuminates the streets with fun characters like the Blue Fairy, Elsa, Mirabel, and more, will also undergo a schedule change.
Starting on August 31st, Starlight will start at 8:30 PM and 10:30 PM, and from September 15th onwards, it will run at 8 PM and 10 PM. Either way, you can catch them before or after the fireworks for a double spectacular night (or triple if you consider watching both showings).
Like Happily Ever After, Starlight does not play on party nights, including Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
