Heads up, campers! A lobby refurbishment is on the way at Disney’s Fort Wilderness & Campground.
This unique Disney World resort is known for its cabins, camping, and all-around outdoorsy vibe, but if you’ve got an upcoming stay planned, you might need to know about this refurbishment. We’ve got all the details, so let’s get into it!
Disney has announced a lobby refurbishment at Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground from early October through early November 2025. While official dates have not been revealed, we’ll be keeping an eye on any changes you need to know about.
According to the announcement, during check-in, you might see or hear construction activity around the lobby. Disney also noted that the check-in area could be temporarily relocated to a different, modified space nearby. Keep an eye out for signs that will be posted for directions to the check-in area, or look for Cast Members who will be stationed nearby for help.
This is just another in a long line of Disney hotels to receive lobby refurbishments recently. The Grand Floridian is currently undergoing a lobby refresh, and we’re also seeing changes at the Polynesian and the Contemporary hotels as well.
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground is located within the Magic Kingdom resort area, near the Wilderness Lodge. It’s home to cabins and campgrounds for accommodations, a variety of recreational activities, such as horseback riding, archery, and more, and several restaurants, including Trail’s End and Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue. If you haven’t checked it out, put it on your list — but maybe wait until the refurbishment is complete!
We’ll be on the lookout for additional hotel refurbishments you need to know about at Disney World. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more!
