The holidays at Disney World can be SUCH a magical time — but don’t get caught off guard by chilly temperatures!
A cold front is moving into Central Florida and the Disney World area, with wind chills dipping down into the 20s at times. If you’re heading to Disney World this week, here’s what you need to know!
A strong cold front is moving into Disney World and will last through Tuesday, November 11th. Temperature highs are forecast to fall to the 60s on Monday and into the 50s on Tuesday, with overnight lows dipping into the 30s and 40s by early Tuesday morning.
And, while that’s certainly chilly for Florida already, gusty conditions will push wind chills into the 20s, making it feel even colder than it is, per WKMG. Freeze and frost will be possible as well, so for locals — make sure you bring in those sensitive plants and protect your pets!
The Orlando high forecast for Tuesday is 59 degrees, which could break the record cold high of 61 degrees set back in 1913.
If you’re heading to Disney World during the cold front, make sure you’re prepared! Things can feel pretty darn cold when you’re walking around the parks, especially at places like EPCOT, with the World Showcase being chilly thanks to the Lagoon in the middle of the park.
We typically recommend dressing in layers, that way you can take heavier jackets and coats off if the temperatures do rise a little bit.
Keep in mind that rides may be closed due to technical issues from the cold, the water parks may close due to cold weather, and some outdoor dining locations may also temporarily close due to the weather. Don’t let an unexpected closure ruin your trip, though; there is SO much to do at Disney World, and who knows, an unexpected closure might lead you to something even better!
We’ll be on the lookout for more weather updates that might impact your trip to Disney World. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more!
