On March 2nd, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith permanently closed at Disney’s Hollywood Studios to make way for a new version of the ride featuring The Muppets.

Since its closure, Disney has been on a mission! They’ve wasted no time making changes to the exterior, and now they have just confirmed more information about the new version of the ride. We’re going to miss the OG, but we’d be lying if we didn’t say all this talk on Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring The Muppets is getting us excited!

Disney just confirmed that the new Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring The Muppets will be a Lightning Lane Multi Pass option once it opens in the summer of 2026!

If you head over to Disney World’s website and look at Lightning Lane for attractions and experiences, you’ll see the upcoming ride has joined the Multi Pass list at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We never doubted that it wouldn’t be available as a Lighting Lane experience, but it’s nice to know that Disney has provided that confirmation.

When purchasing a Lightning Lane Multi Pass for Hollywood Studios, you’ll be prompted to choose up to 3 multi-pass experiences and arrival windows. The decision for choosing is going to be a little more difficult, as you can only choose ONE experience between Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Slinky Dog Dash, and now Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets (Summer 2026).

Only one attraction at Hollywood Studios isn’t available for Lightning Lane Multi Pass, and that’s Rise of the Resistance. That remains the only attraction at the park that only has the Single Pass as a Lightning Lane option. Maybe that changes once Monsters Inc Land brings us the new roller coaster!

We’re excited for the new version of the attraction to open. It will feature animatronics of Scooter and the penguin audio engineers, who will be working hard to get Electric Mayhem to make it on time to their concert. We’ll be getting a VIP tour of  G-Force Records, but under new management by The Muppets! We’ve also been told that G-Force Records has a new, unique look, as Scooter’s uncle, real estate tycoon and owner of the Muppet Theatre, J.P. Grosse, has taken over.
