Churro Mickey waffles!

Churro Mickey waffles, one of Disney’s most beloved — and elusive — breakfast foods have finally arrived at another location in Disney World. Of course, we HAD to stop by and try them to bring you the full review, and you guys are going to want to buckle up for this one.

Mickey-shaped Churro Waffles have recently arrived on the breakfast menu at Spyglass Grill at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. You can now order them as a breakfast entree for $11.49. So what’s so special about this treat? Well, these churro waffles are famous on Disney Cruise Line as a must-have breakfast buffet item, and the ONLY other place you can find them in Disney World is at Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom. And Crystal Palace? It’s a sit-down character meal that usually requires a reservation, plus it’s $54 per adult. Not exactly the easiest meal to squeeze into your trip, particularly if you’re on a budget.

But now, you can get those same yummy waffles at a hotel with NO park ticket or dining reservation necessary! With your order, you’ll get three Mickey-shaped waffles with the churro coating, as well as bacon and sausage. We were pretty pleased with the portion size here! And boy did they look and SMELL delicious.

BEAUTIFUL

In fact, they were just like we remember! The exterior coating is sugary with a hint of cinnamon, and it makes for a crisp outer edge to the waffle. The inside is nice and fluffy, and when you eat them warm, they’re absolutely incredible. The sugar crackles a bit when you bite in, and you don’t even really need the syrup because these are so sweet.

SO GOOD

The bacon and sausage were a great balance to the sweetness of the waffles — we all need a little protein in our day, especially when you’re enjoying sugary treats around Disney World. This was definitely worth the price and a wonderful hidden gem at a not very popular spot. Oh churro waffles, how we yearn for you!
