Disney’s Boardwalk Resort is the former home of the popular dueling piano bar Jellyrolls, which suddenly closed in April 2025. Earlier this month, Disney started working on the building!
We went to check out the progress recently, and Jellyrolls now looks pretty unrecognizable. While the signature striped paint job is still intact, the rest of the building has been gutted!
Earlier this month, construction walls were put up around the building, and the interior was gutted. When we were on the boat from Hollywood Studios to EPCOT, we saw that Jellyrolls now looks completely different! We had to stop by and get a closer look.
The ground floor on the left side of the building has been completely opened up. While we weren’t able to see inside, the ground floor is now covered in clear plastic wrap behind the construction wall. There are also two massive cutouts in the wall covered by black tarps.
When we got a closer look, there’s also an uncovered cutout along the length of the wall between the two covered rectangular cutouts. Plus, a cut was made in the wall, but not removed above the open section on the ground floor. It looks like more of the wall might be coming down soon!
Disney hasn’t confirmed what new space will take over Jellyrolls. There are dozens of rumors circulating online, ranging from a sports bar to a jazz club, but regardless of what moves in, it looks like this space might have an outdoor patio overlooking Crescent Lake.
Signs on the construction walls read “Pittsburgh Paints,” the official paint company of Walt Disney World and Disneyland since 2022. They’ve done painting, finishing, and coating on dozens of Disney World projects, notably Main Street, U.S.A., Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on any more Jellyrolls progress. Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more Disney World news!
