After months of questions, we FINALLY know what’s coming to Disney’s BoardWalk Resort.

After what felt like an eternity of sitting vacant, big changes are finally coming to some long-abandoned spaces at the popular Deluxe Tier Disney World Resort.
We go to Disney World every day. Yep, we’re living the dream. A lot of what we do, though, is search for new things, stuff we haven’t seen on previous days. That’s how we keep you updated on everything, after all.

So what kind of things are we looking for? Well, we’re always on the lookout for new merchandise (so you can be on the lookout for those perfect souvenir finds for your next visit), but we also keep an eye on construction and other updates in the parks and at the hotels. Most recently, we visited seven Disney World parks and hotels, and we have a ton of new things to share with you as a result. So let’s get started!
Disney World is always changing, especially at resort hotels where constant refurbishments and updates happen. We want to make sure you’re calm and comfortable during your vacation instead of hearing jackhammers in your sleep.

From room refurbishments to pool and restaurant closures to new dining locations, it’s important to plan around these things and avoid the unexpected. Here are 13 new changes coming to Disney World hotels this Fall!
Disney dropped a TON of news this week, especially around what we can expect from the holiday season in both Disneyland Resort and Disney World, but we also got some much-needed updates on a few projects happening inside the parks.

We finally know when a long-closed attraction will reopen in Magic Kingdom, an EPCOT store is getting ready to temporarily close, and we’re in our final week before Carousel of Progress closes for its long refurbishment. If you’re heading into the parks soon, a lot is going on that you need to know about ahead of time, so we’re here to catch you up!
While there wasn’t much news from inside the actual Disney World parks this past week, we did get TONS of news that will soon affect Disney Springs and Disney’s BoardWalk.

For months now, there have been empty buildings over at the BoardWalk, and while there have been permits filed, there has been no official announcement as to what is on the way. Until now, that is, because this past week, Disney revealed exactly what’s coming to the BoardWalk, and we also got some exciting updates about Disney Springs projects in the works!
There’s quite a bit of empty space at Disney’s BoardWalk that we’ve been waiting and waiting (not so patiently) to see how Disney would fill. We lost Jellyrolls, which was one of our most beloved spots with live music, but it seems like something similar is coming back to the BoardWalk.

Disney made a HUGE announcement with everything coming, but there’s one that is catching our eye. We might have said goodbye to Jellyrolls (well, sort of. It’s moving to a new location outside of Disney), and we might have found a suitable replacement.
There’s been so much happening in Disney World recently that sometimes it’s felt a little hard to catch our breath.
A trash can change happened this week!
We love hearing about all the new projects and exciting attractions coming to Disney World, don’t get us wrong, but for the past few weeks, it felt like everything hit at once. Now, though, some of the biggest attractions have opened — The Walt Disney Studios and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Jessie’s Roundup in Magic Kingdom, Bluey’s Wild World in Disney’s Animal Kingdom — the list goes on. However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t still smaller changes happening around the parks each day, and there are ABSOLUTELY still closures you need to know about if you’re heading into the parks this week.
This week was certainly a big one for Disneyland Resort, with tons of announcements around Oogie Boogie Bash, which kinda stuck Disney World in the backseat. Though after weeks in a row of TONS of news and changes, we think it deserves a little break.

That’s not to say that things didn’t still HAPPEN in Disney World, because they absolutely did. Not only did one construction project FINALLY finish up after months, but we also got new sneak peeks of TWO of the new lands on their way!
When we say it’s been an eventful week in Disney World, we mean that we got close to lying down on a bench in the park and sleeping for approximately 14 hours, but we couldn’t, because in EVERY park, there was something new.
The Magic of Disney Animation in Walt Disney Studios
It was well worth it, though, in our opinion. Getting to be there for the opening day of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, Bluey’s Wild World, as well as the official openings of Jessie’s Roundup, Soarin’ Across America, The Walt Disney Studios, and more? Yep, it was an unforgettable week. Now that things have slowed down a bit, though, if you’re visiting the parks this week, you need to know that there are, unfortunately, still many attractions around the parks that are closed and unavailable to experience.
Disney’s BoardWalk Resort is home to some of our favorite spots on Disney World property — even if it’s looking a little bit rougher than normal right now.

There are currently multiple vacancies on the BoardWalk, and we’ve been waiting on the edges of our seats to find out exactly what will be replacing the former locations. Up until now, Disney has remained pretty quiet on what they have planned for these spaces, but it sounds like that could all be changing soon!
