Transportation at One Disney World Hotel Got a Lot Harder This Week

We can’t believe we’re saying this, but it was a mostly quiet week in Disney World!

We’re not taking that for granted, especially considering the month of August is about to be intense. We’ll be at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event earlier in the month, followed quickly by the first nights of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Oogie Boogie Bash, and then we’ve got EPCOT’s International Food & Wine Festival to finish up. If you’re heading to Disney World soon, though, there is a new change you need to know about, on top of all the existing closures.

Disney Just Announced A MAJOR Opening Date And Then Closed A Popular Part Of EPCOT!

We had some fantastic news come out of Disney World this week regarding a massive construction project…and then in the same week, practically half of an EPCOT pavilion is closed off to the public.

You’ll get to go inside!

Disney has announced that the rest of The Walt Disney Studios will open on September 14th, which includes the new The Magic of Disney Animation experience. While we still have a while to wait, we’re thrilled to actually begin counting down the days. In the meantime, you’ll want to watch out for this EPCOT pavilion when you’re traveling through World Showcase, because some of the prior amenities available currently are not.

This Disney World Lesson Doesn’t Get Any Easier To Learn

It was a quieter week in Disney World in terms of openings and closings, though we did officially say goodbye to the current version of one of our favorite attractions.

Carousel of Progress is now behind walls

While yes, we did have to wave goodbye to Carousel of Progress until an undetermined time in 2027, we’re also thrilled to say that a few projects made great headway in Disney World. New permits were filed for both Monstropolis and Tropical Americas, and a popular Magic Kingdom store finally has its big top back!

A Classic Disney World Attraction Closes THIS WEEK

We were in Disney World every day this past week, and saying that a lot happened would be a complete understatement.

LEVEL99 is here!

A meet and greet location opened EARLY after a lengthy closure, we finally got a reopening date for a popular Disney World hotel restaurant, and an EPCOT store closed for refurbishment, but all of that doesn’t even TOUCH on our favorite event of the past week.

Two Spots FINALLY Reopen in Disney World This Week!

Disney dropped a TON of news this week, especially around what we can expect from the holiday season in both Disneyland Resort and Disney World, but we also got some much-needed updates on a few projects happening inside the parks.

We finally know when a long-closed attraction will reopen in Magic Kingdom, an EPCOT store is getting ready to temporarily close, and we’re in our final week before Carousel of Progress closes for its long refurbishment. This Disney World Hotel Will Look Completely Different By the End of 2026

While there wasn’t much news from inside the actual Disney World parks this past week, we did get TONS of news that will soon affect Disney Springs and Disney’s BoardWalk.

For months now, there have been empty buildings over at the BoardWalk, and while there have been permits filed, there has been no official announcement as to what is on the way. Until now, that is, because this past week, Disney revealed exactly what’s coming to the BoardWalk, and we also got some exciting updates about Disney Springs projects in the works!

This Is What We Mean When We Say Something Is Always Happening in Disney World

There’s been so much happening in Disney World recently that sometimes it’s felt a little hard to catch our breath.

A trash can change happened this week!

We love hearing about all the new projects and exciting attractions coming to Disney World, don’t get us wrong, but for the past few weeks, it felt like everything hit at once. Now, though, some of the biggest attractions have opened — The Walt Disney Studios and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Jessie’s Roundup in Magic Kingdom, Bluey’s Wild World in Disney’s Animal Kingdom — the list goes on. However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t still smaller changes happening around the parks each day, and there are ABSOLUTELY still closures you need to know about if you’re heading into the parks this week.

EVERY Weekly Closure You Need To Know For Your Upcoming Disney World Trip

This week was certainly a big one for Disneyland Resort, with tons of announcements around Oogie Boogie Bash, which kinda stuck Disney World in the backseat. Though after weeks in a row of TONS of news and changes, we think it deserves a little break.

SEVEN Attractions Opened in Disney World Last Week…But Dozens Are Still Closed

When we say it’s been an eventful week in Disney World, we mean that we got close to lying down on a bench in the park and sleeping for approximately 14 hours, but we couldn’t, because in EVERY park, there was something new.

It was well worth it, though, in our opinion. Getting to be there for the opening day of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, Bluey’s Wild World, as well as the official openings of Jessie’s Roundup, Soarin’ Across America, The Walt Disney Studios, and more? Yep, it was an unforgettable week. Now that things have slowed down a bit, though, if you’re visiting the parks this week, you need to know that there are, unfortunately, still many attractions around the parks that are closed and unavailable to experience.

Visiting Disney World This Week? You’ve Gotta Know What You’re Getting Into!

It’s been one of those times in Disney World where, if you blink, you somehow miss five changes that all seemed to have happened in the past 24 hours. It’s a busy time to be in the parks, that’s for sure!

This past week alone, Disney has opened multiple attractions early, such as FØØD by Swedish Chef and The Walt Disney Studios in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, as well as Soarin’ Across America in EPCOT, all of which were originally set to open on May 26th. MORE closures are finally reopening this upcoming week, on time on May 26th (which is when Cool KIDS’ SUMMER is set to officially begin), so if you’re traveling to the parks, now is 100% the time to keep up with ALL the changes.
