When Disney gives us concept art, we deep dive into it to find any new information that we didn’t notice before. Then we like to share that information with you, our readers, so we can all try to be one step ahead of Disney (or at least feel like we’re ahead of them). Today, we’ve taken a closer look at the concept art for the coming lands in Animal Kingdom to see what clues Disney has dropped for us!

Back at the beginning of September, Disney dropped some MAJOR hints about what’s coming to Disney World. One of those hints was that Animal Kingdom is going to be getting some updates. Disney shared with us some concept art for what this update might look like. So we took a closer look at the concept art for the proposed new Encanto and Indiana Jones lands that could be taking over the Dinoland U.S.A. area in Animal Kingdom. After close examination, we spotted SIX things that we think could be coming to this new area!

We’ve seen plenty of surprise details like Hidden Mickeys in the parks and in food. Sometimes you find that you’ve been walking right by those “secret” details without even noticing, so we wanted to share a fun one with you. Let’s take a look!
It’s no secret that Disney World has gone through quite a few changes since it first opened in 1971.
Magic Kingdom
From additional parks and attractions to new restaurants and hotels, Disney is constantly coming up with ways to bring new experiences to guests. But, sometimes these changes mean that a previously popular area of the parks has been left to feel all but abandoned or downright creepy. In fact, you might even walk right past some of these spots without even realizing it. Next time you’re walking around Disney World, keep an eye out for these abandoned and creepy spots!
If you would LOVE for areas themed to Coco, Encanto, or even Zootopia or the Disney villains to be added to the Disney World theme parks, you might be in luck!
The D23 Expo Has Ended!
During the 2022 D23 Expo, some Disney executives discussed a few Blue Sky ideas they’re working on for the parks. These are things that could come to the parks — a.k.a. they’re NOT officially confirmed and they could change substantially (or never even get built), but they are things Disney is working on. Mainly, they discussed a potential Moana and/or Zootopia re-theme for DinoLand U.S.A. in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park and new Coco, Encanto, and Disney villains-themed spaces beyond Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Magic Kingdom. If you’ve seen the concept art you might already be really excited about these possibilities, but we took out our microscope and now we’re highlighting the details in these that you NEVER noticed!

Exactly one year ago today, we drank cotton candy. Let us explain.
The Cotton Top Lagoon
The Cotton Top Lagoon was one of two cotton candy topped drinks we found in Animal Kingdom in 2021, and it was made with a frozen blend of blue raspberry and lemonade and topped with cotton candy. Today we found a NEW version of this drink in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, but does it live up to 2021’s version?
Peanut butter and jelly. Macaroni and cheese. Mickey and Minnie. Some things just make sense together.

And now we think we may have found another iconic pairing in Disney World — cold brew coffee and ice cream. We were taking a stroll through Disney’s Animal Kingdom when we spotted two NEW coffee drinks at Dino-Bite Snacks, and we just so happen to think that one of them is almost as iconic as milk and cookies — let’s check ’em out!
Disney puts out a lot of merch, and let’s be honest, not all of them are winners.
What is going on here?
We’ve seen some pretty strange Disney merch over the years including a dinosaur lightsaber (???), spaghetti Stitch, and poisonous trinket trays! We’re constantly checking all of the new merchandise that pops up around the Disney Parks, but there is one item that no matter how many times we see it, we can’t get behind it.
Every once in a while, the rides and attractions in Disney World may experience a temporary downtime. These downtimes can occur for a number of reasons, and they are often quite brief and don’t cause any major disruptions to the ride’s operations.
