Back in 2023, we learned that DinoLand, U.S.A. would be transformed into a NEW Tropical Americas land, complete with elements from Indiana Jones and Encanto.

DINOSAUR is being replaced by a new Indiana Jones ride, AND an Encanto ride is coming soon. Disney has been pretty quiet on the details so far, but now, we officially know the name of the new Encanto ride coming to Animal Kingdom!
Disney announced that the Tropical Americas will be coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom and we couldn’t be more hyped about it!

With the DinoLand, U.S.A. re-theme, we’ll be getting experiences inspired by both Encanto and Indiana Jones coming to the new land! Specifically focusing in on Encanto, there will be an attraction inside the Casita and we’ve got to talk about it!

The weekend-long convention has panels on a variety of Disney topics, including the highly-anticipated Disney Experiences Showcase, where we learn about all the new projects coming to the parks and Disney Cruise Line. We’re getting Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, an updated Country Bear Jamboree show and Test Track experience, and Communicore Hall and Plaza in just the coming year (or so), to name a few. But in future years, Disney has just confirmed a massive expansion is on its way to Animal Kingdom, but what does that really entail?

Several hotels are getting refurbishments or additions, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is under construction in Magic Kingdom, and we’ve got quite a few expansions to look forward to in the future. But not everyone is happy with the latest news!

Disney held its last earnings call of the year on November 8th, where we learned that revenue is UP both within the Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products (DPEP) sector as well as within streaming, which Disney CEO Bob Iger has shared is his number one priority when it comes to the future of Disney. This information is fresh on our minds as we look forward to the new year, as well as information shared at the D23 fan convention in September, where we learned that Disney will be re-theming DinoLand, U.S.A. in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. So … what big news regarding these things can we expect in 2024? Let’s talk about it.
