If you thought there was already a lot of construction around Disney World, buckle up, because new projects are about to arrive at the resort.
Fortunately, they’re not going to any of the parks; three out of the four of which are already filled with tons of construction walls (EPCOT being the only exception, though there are walls up for small projects). These FOUR new construction projects are headed for the Disney World hotels, and if you were planning to stay in one of them soon, these projects may make you think twice.
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort
While Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort has had construction planned around The Turf Club Lounge and The Turf Club Bar & Grill for quite some time now, in addition to the Treehouse Villas, more has now been added to the list.
In their most recent update on the Disney World website, the hotel now lists that areas of the Port Cochere (the covered front entrance to the hotel) will be undergoing refurbishment through Fall 2026. No additional closures have been added due to the construction, but it’s important to note that you may be seeing and hearing more construction around the resort during the day.

Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort
Disney has also added a temporary closure notice regarding Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, which are located right next to each other in the EPCOT Resort area. From August 17th-21st, 2026, the FriendShip Boat dock will be closed for maintenance.
During the closure, direct bus transportation will be available to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and you can use the nearby walkways to get to EPCOT. If you’d like, you can also walk to EPCOT and then take the Disney Skyliner to Hollywood Studios if you’d like to avoid the bus.
If This Secret Gets Out, Nobody Will Stay at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Again
The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
If you’re planning to stay at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, you don’t need to worry about this construction closing any amenities, but it will potentially cause additional noise to be heard and seen during the day. From now through mid-October, soil erosion prevention work will be taking place along the sidewalk on Big Pine Trail.
This does mean that at certain times, alternate paths of travel may be in place for Guests due to roadway detours, so it’ll be important to note that some paths may take you longer than normal. It’s another reason why we always recommend allowing at least an hour of travel time to get anywhere you’d like to go in Disney World — you never know what may be going on!
