Construction is still all over Disney World, practically everywhere you look, and if there’s one thing we just learned from D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, it’s that it isn’t slowing down anytime soon.

If you thought there was already a lot of construction around Disney World, buckle up, because new projects are about to arrive at the resort.

Fortunately, they’re not going to any of the parks; three out of the four of which are already filled with tons of construction walls (EPCOT being the only exception, though there are walls up for small projects). There are a lot of construction projects happening around Disney World right now, and while lots of it is in the theme parks, many of Disney World’s hotels are also undergoing construction or seeing refurbishments as well. Why Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge Might End Up Having One of Our Favorite Disney Hotel Pools

We’re thrilled that Disney’s newest hotel, Lakeshore Lodge, is still underway, because for a moment there, it didn’t look like it would ever happen!

This new hotel will be opening in 2027, and we’ve been keeping a close eye on construction updates. From what we’ve seen, the main hotel building is coming along well, but now we’ve gotten an updated look at the pool area, which includes a lazy river, and we’re ALREADY looking forward to relaxing.
